Favela INC transforma a realidade de moradores das favelas do Rio de
Janeiro. A partir da mentalidade empreendedora, nossas iniciativas
encontram soluções possíveis para desafios cotidianos, com impacto de
médio e longo prazo na qualidade de vida de seus beneficiados. Somos a
ponte que conecta o desafio à oportunidade. Para isso, oferecemos
suporte para problemas emergenciais e programas de capacitação, para
que conquistem o seu melhor futuro.

Cultivar e incubar ecossistemas sustentáveis e de impacto ​​baseados na vida em favela, que facilitam a inovação e o acesso à educação, infraestrutura e investimento, para startups de favela, organizações sem fins lucrativos, e instituições.

I am dedicated to cultivating sustainable ecosystems of innovation and entrepreneurship in low-income communities throughout the world. I am a global citizen and as such I see my role to be a bridge-builder that connects complementary ecosystems, Scarcity –> Abundance, Students –> Teachers, Hate–> Love. After studying Business Entrepreneurship in the United States I made the bold move to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil… a country I had never been to, a language I didn’t speak, a land where I didn’t know anyone. 7 years later, 4 failed businesses, and an infinite amount of learning experiences I find myself living in the favela community of Vidigal working to build our social impact tourism company Favela Experience and cultivate hubs of social innovation through my non-profit, Favela Inc.

Graduated in Industrial Electronics in Uruguay with 5 years of experience leading his team of facilities operations in the Hospital Britanico of Montevideo. In 2014, Rodrigo joins Adam to co-found Favela Experience and now has 4 years of experience leading it and counting. Rodrigo combines his technical expertise with the diligence and skills managing human resources in projects.

I build communication bridges between people, groups and ideas through language.
I have a degree in International Relations from Bennett Institute (2010) and in Literature and Linguistics in Portuguese and French from UERJ (2013). My professional career is very diversified, having passed through the academic world, film business, cultural production, customs clearance, and hospitality. I have spent the last three years traveling and working around the world, meeting people and cultures from many different countries. I settled in Vidigal in search of purpose and here I found the fertile ground where I can cultivate the change I want to see in the world. With multifaceted interests and references, I am dedicated to communicating ideas and transforming points of view by bringing empathy and humanization into the discourse, broadening paths and possibilities for the realization of these ideas.

An engineer from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora and passionate about the social sciences, I have been working in areas of behavior analysis and product creation. I went through different companies, 2 bankruptcies and the foundation of an engineering NGO that is one of my greatest pride. During my training, I was part of management engineering programs at Saint Martins University, Arizona State University and marketing and digital design at ESPM. My mission is to use this knowledge to leverage the conditions of people and communities in need.

I’m a 25-year-old graphic design graduate. I studied in Leeds but I’m originally from London, England. University gave me the creative freedom to explore who I am as an artist and designer and what kind of impact I want to make with my work. After completing my degree I found a cheap flight to Brazil and decided to come here indefinitely. I was only supposed to stay in Vidigal for 3 months. However because I have met some amazing people and I believe in the work we are doing here, I stayed.

I am an actor trained by the Casa de Artes de Laranjeiras and am now supporting the financial area of ​​favela inc, in addition to being an actor, I have a degree in accounting sciences in which I worked for a long time and today I am reliving my past to support the NGO. It’s been very good to compose this team and carry out this project in the midst of this community as plural as Vidigal, I feel very inspired to live and work here in the community.

With more than 10 years of experience in impact driven business and social entrepreneurship Camila is the founder of IMPACTO a social impact network that promotes connection between people who wish to offer knowledge, time, resources or skills to impact projects in order to strengthen and boost them, promoting a social match. IMPACTO focuses on deep eye to eye on the ground approach that guarantees real, measurable, replicable and scalable impacts.
Camila is also a founding member of Endless Computers and headed the Ground Impact team for almost 5 years, supporting the startup’s growth from 5 to 100 employees globally. Her main expertise was scouting new potential markets and connecting the company to communities around the world in deep levels: from households in slums of Rio de Janeiro and rural Guatemala, to schools in remote Haiti and refugee camps in Jordan, helping develop products that are made for the necessities of people who don’t have access to education, health, livelihood, entertainment and opportunity.
Expert in connecting companies and the humanitarian world, Camila has deployed tailor made solutions, products and services using ground research, design thinking and user centered design to refugee empowerment programs in the Middle East, Africa and Brazil to agencies such as: UNICEF, UNHCR, USAID, NRC and Save the children.
Speaker and Filmmaker with a Marketing, Humanitarian and Social Entrepreneurship background, Camila worked previously for the ad agency TBWA in New York, for Golden Goal Sports Ventures, a British sports management company, and as a manager for Coca-Cola’s social business project at CDI Recode, a global digital inclusion NGO.
Camila’s career personal highlights: working as a stunt double for the American reality TV show Survivor, testing very hard core challenges in extreme environments. And going on a sabbatic round the world trip aiming for self development and inner growth, living very close to monks and having the highest mountains of the world as background – the Himalayas.
